Taking paternity leave next month and nervous about it
My company offered 4 weeks and honestly I jumped at it but now I'm second guessing. Will I fall behind at work? What if my boss forgets about me? Also, what do I actually do with a newborn all day? My wife will be around but she needs rest too. Anyone taken extended leave and come back fine? Just looking for some reassurance that the world won't fall apart while I'm gone.
You're not going to fall behind. Seriously. The people who matter at your job know you're coming back. Use that time to actually figure out how to change diapers without it looking like a wrestling move and bond with your kid. That stuff matters more than any email.
