The stress is real
Can't sleep. Mind keeps running through work problems, money worries, am I doing enough for my kids, health stuff I should probably get checked out. My wife says I need to chill but I don't know how to turn it off. Feel like everything is on me to keep this family afloat. Work is demanding more, kids need more, house needs repairs, truck is acting up. I know I'm not the only one dealing with this but it's getting dark sometimes. Anyone found something that actually helps or is this just what being a dad feels like?
Man, I feel this in my bones. The 3am spiral where you're calculating if you're failing at work AND failing your kids at the same time. I started keeping a notepad by the bed to dump all the work stuff so my brain would shut up. Still doesn't always work but it helped knowing I wasn't gonna forget anything important.
