The stress of being the breadwinner (even when partner works)

This might sound weird but I feel this constant pressure that MY job is the "primary" one even though my wife makes nearly as much as I do. We're both working full-time, but somehow it's my career path everyone asks about, my job that seems more important when schedules conflict, and I feel like I need to prioritize work stuff over parenting because it's "on me" to support the family. Rationally I know that's not true and my wife would say the same thing. But the pressure is real and exhausting. Anyone else deal with this mental block? How do you actually treat both careers as equally valid?
