Took paternity leave and it changed everything
Just wanted to share that taking my full 12 weeks was the best decision I made. First two weeks I was anxious about work but then I actually got to know my newborn. Helped with postpartum stuff so my wife could rest. When I went back I realized work doesn't actually fall apart without you for a few months. The company will be fine. Your kids won't get this time back. Highly recommend if you can swing it financially.
Those first two weeks are rough but man, once that anxiety lifts you realize what you've been missing. Glad you took the full time, that's huge for bonding.
