Took paternity leave and my boss made me feel guilty

Just got back from 2 months off after our third was born and my boss keeps making comments about "finally returning to the real world" and asking if I'm "ready to get back to work." Like dude I was working, I was just doing it at home with a newborn. My coworkers have been cool about it but management seems annoyed I was gone. Is this normal or is my company just weird about parental leave?

That's rough man. You earned that time with your family and your boss needs to respect that. Those 2 months are the real world too.

Three kids is no joke and you took the time to be there for them. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about prioritizing your family when it mattered most.

Sounds like your boss has some outdated views on what matters. You did the right thing and your kids will remember that way more than whatever emails piled up while you were gone.
