Took paternity leave and my boss seems annoyed about it

I took 6 weeks when my twins were born and now back at work. Pretty sure my boss resents me for it because he's been giving me the worst projects and making comments about dedication. He's old school and probably thinks dads shouldn't take time off. I'm thinking about looking for a new job but the market is scary. Not sure if I'm being paranoid or if this is actually happening. Advice?

This makes me angry because you literally did nothing wrong. You took time for your family like any decent human should be able to do. If he's treating you differently, that's discrimination. Look into your company's handbook and see what HR would say about it.

I took 12 weeks total across both kids and definitely felt some tension when I came back. My advice is to come back swinging - be super visible, hit your deadlines, show that you're still the same employee. It usually blows over after a few months once they realize you're not checked out.

Been there with my two. Some bosses just don't get it. Document those project assignments and keep doing your thing - you earned that time with your twins and you'll prove your worth when you're back in the groove.

That sucks man. Six weeks for twins is totally reasonable and honestly not that long. If he's punishing you for taking paternity leave that's on him, not you. Don't let that get in your head.

That's rough man. Six weeks is the legal minimum in a lot of places and some bosses still act like you committed treason. Have you documented his behavior? Sometimes it helps to know what counts as retaliation so you can recognize it if it escalates.
