Took paternity leave and now I'm terrified to go back

Just finished my 8 weeks at home with our new baby and honestly I feel like I'm abandoning my family. The thought of sitting in meetings while my wife is home with a newborn makes me feel guilty as hell. I know I have to work and bills don't pay themselves but man this sucks. Anyone else feel this way when they went back? Does it get easier?

Those first weeks back are rough. I was up late at night checking emails and worried I was missing everything. But honestly, being present when you ARE home matters way more than the hours you're clocked in.

Man, I get that feeling. Just remember you're not abandoning anyone - you're providing for your family. The time at home was amazing but you being back at work doesn't change what you built these last 8 weeks.

The guilt is real but it passes. You've already shown up big time with those 8 weeks. Your family knows you're all in.
