Travel for work is back and I hate it

We had a good 18 months where I could mostly stay local. Now my company is doing quarterly conferences and they're "encouraging" attendance. Next one is in Vegas for 4 days in March.
My kids are 7, 5, and 2. I'm gone one week a month as it is for client visits. Adding these conferences on top feels like too much. My wife will have to take time off work to cover. It disrupts the routine the kids have built.
I'm seriously thinking about pushing back but there's that nagging fear it'll affect how I'm seen at work. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you push back on travel expectations without torpedoing your career?
