Weird question: how do you stay mentally present after work?

This is gonna sound dumb but I genuinely struggle with this. I finish work at 5pm, sometimes earlier on flex days. But my brain is still AT work, running through problems or stressing about meetings. So when I'm sitting with my kids doing bedtime or whatever, I'm only like 60% there mentally. My wife calls me out on it constantly. I've tried meditating, exercise, a clean shutdown ritual - nothing really works. It's like I physically leave the office but mentally check back in every 2 minutes. Anyone have actual strategies that work or is this just what happens when you have a demanding job?
