Been working from home for 2 years and I can actually be here when the kids get off the bus, help with homework, be present. Company just mandated everyone back in office full time starting next month. I'm seriously considering looking for another job. Is that crazy? This schedule has saved my marriage honestly. What are you guys doing if your company is pulling this?
WFH saved my life when my kids were younger. Fight for at least some remote days if you can. The commute time you save, the flexibility for doctor appointments and school stuff, it all matters.
Being there for that 3:30 pickup changed everything for us too. If they're pushing back ask for a hybrid compromise. Maybe three days in office two at home? Half a win is still better than losing it all.
Five days is rough. Is your boss even tracking whether you're actually less productive at home or is it just about people in seats? A lot of bosses default to that without real data.

This is huge for our mental health and family time. Push back on the 5 day thing if you can. Document how productive you've been remote. A lot of companies are figuring out that WFH isn't the death of productivity.
