5 years ago I was a corporate guy, now I work from home and I'm actually present
Used to commute 90 minutes each way to sit in a cubicle for a job I hated. Was making decent money but missing everything. My kids barely knew me. Last year I took the plunge and now I'm remote for a smaller company making less but working 30 hours instead of 50. I eat lunch with my family. I'm at soccer games. My wife says I'm like a different person. Still have money stress but honestly I would never go back. If you're on the fence about making a change, it might be worth it.
This is exactly why I'm trying to figure out the work from home life myself. Seeing your kids actually know who you are makes all the difference.
