Became a dad and finally grew up
I was a mess before kids. Drinking too much, poor life decisions, no real direction. Becoming a dad flipped something in my brain. I wanted to be better for them so I got sober, cleaned up my finances, actually focused on something bigger than myself. Not gonna lie it's hard but I gained a sense of purpose I never had before. The old me was drifting and didn't even realize it. The dad me has actual meaning.
Same journey here. What's crazy is how it sneaks up on you - you don't realize you're becoming a better version of yourself until someone points it out. Congrats on turning it around.
