Became a Dad at 19 - Life I Never Expected
Had all these plans, was gonna backpack Europe, finish college without worrying about anything. Then my girlfriend got pregnant and honestly the first year was dark. But somehow being responsible for another human changed me. I'm 28 now, finally got my degree, have a decent job, and my son is amazing. Do I miss being able to just dip out on a Saturday? Sometimes. But I gained a whole person who thinks I'm the coolest guy alive and that's worth way more than a gap year.
This hits different when you're young. You're grieving the life you thought you'd have, and that's real. But you've also got something a lot of guys don't get - time with your kid from the start. College will still be there if you want it. Europe will still be there. Your kid's childhood? That's the limited edition.
