Became a dad at 22 and had to grow up fast
I was supposed to backpack through Europe after college. Instead I was changing diapers and working overtime. Watched my friends get promotions and travel while I was stressed about formula costs. Really resented it for a while, not gonna lie. But turns out having a kid forced me to stop screwing around and actually develop myself. I learned budgeting, time management, how to be responsible. Now at 31 I'm making more than most of those friends and way more fulfilled. I missed out on some stuff but I gained maturity and direction they're still searching for.
Europe would've been cool but real talk, those early diaper days while everyone else is traveling hit different when it's your kid you're building memories with. Sounds like you made peace with it though.
