Grew up with a distant father. Swore I'd be different and I actually followed through. Changed diapers, did bedtimes, coached soccer, everything. Sometimes I miss the freedom of my twenties, going out whenever, no responsibilities. But I wouldn't trade this for anything. Watching my kids trust me, rely on me, actually like spending time with me? That's the transformation that matters. Breaking that cycle felt impossible but it was the best decision I ever made.
