Becoming a full-time dad changed everything
After the divorce I got primary custody and had to leave my corporate job to make it work financially and logistically. Honestly one of the best things that ever happened to me. Yeah we're tighter on money but my identity isn't wrapped up in my job title anymore. I'm present for the important stuff. I'm the one at the school pickup, I'm the one who knows about their friendships and homework struggles. I feel like I actually know my kids now instead of just being the guy they see on weekends. Career will still be there later.
That takes guts to make that kind of life change, but sounds like your kid benefits big time. Family first, right? Glad you're finding it's one of the best decisions you've made.
