Before: guy at the bar every weekend. After: sober for 2 years

Got sober when my daughter asked me why I smelled like beer at her birthday party. That was the gut check I needed. Two years later and I'm the dad I actually wanted to be. I miss the social part sometimes, not gonna lie, but I don't miss waking up with regrets or being that unreliable guy. My kids look at me different now. Better. That's worth more than any night out.
