Being the single dad now
Wife left 18 months ago, took me a while to process everything. Life looks completely different now. I'm the one doing school runs, packing lunches, helping with homework on weeknights. Some days are hard and I miss having a partner, but I've gained this really strong bond with my kids that maybe wouldn't have happened otherwise. Going from traditional family setup to figuring everything out solo was rough but I'm not the same guy I was. Grew up faster than I wanted to but my kids are good and that's what matters.
Respect for sharing that. 18 months is still pretty fresh. The fact that you're processing it and looking forward says a lot. How are the kids handling the transition?
