Career change from finance to teaching - no regrets
Spent 12 years climbing the corporate ladder, making good money, absolutely miserable. Burned out hard about 3 years ago and decided to go back to school to teach high school math. Money is way less, like almost half what I made before, but man the difference in my stress level is crazy. I'm home by 5 most days, summers off means real time with my family, and I actually feel like what I do matters. First year was rough financially but we adjusted. Some days I still miss the paychecks but I don't miss the anxiety attacks.
This right here. No regrets is the way to feel about your life. A lot of guys stay in those corporate prisons way too long.
