Career Pivot - Left My Job to Be Around More

Had a good corporate gig, lots of hours. Finally hit a breaking point when my son asked me why I missed his baseball game and I realized I didn't even know he was playing. Took a step back, found contract work I can do from home. We're tighter financially but my mental health is way better and I'm actually here. Don't miss the stress or the meetings that could have been emails. Do miss some of the validation and the bigger paycheck but the trade-off is worth it.
