Divorced, dating again at 48, totally different person than who I was married to

Marriage ended 2 years ago. Spent the first year just broken and angry. Now I'm actually dating and getting to know who I am as a person outside of being someone's husband. Turns out I like hiking and cooking, I never did either before. I'm calmer, less cynical. My kids have adjusted better than I thought. The thing I miss is having someone to build with, you know? But I don't miss the resentment or feeling stuck. Learning that being alone is better than being lonely with someone.
