Five years ago I never thought I'd be doing this
Just finished braiding my daughter's hair for her school talent show. Used to be the guy who'd come home from work, watch the game, and basically check out. Now I'm learning YouTube tutorials for Dutch braids and actually giving a crap about it. Got the braids wrong three times but she kept saying "again Dad" with this smile. Missed so much with my older kids. Something clicked when she was born. I'm not the same person I was and honestly I'm grateful for it.
This right here. My daughter asked me to do her hair for the first time recently and I had no idea I could actually do it. Used a YouTube video and felt like a superhero when it worked. The growth is crazy.
