Five years sober today

I don't even know where to start. Five years ago I was a mess. Drinking every night, missing my kids's school events, sleeping till noon on weekends, my wife was ready to leave. Today I got a sobriety coin from my sponsor and my kids made me a banner that says 'Dad we're proud of you.' The amount of time I have now, the money I've saved, the relationships I've repaired... it's insane. If you're struggling with this stuff, please reach out. It's possible. I'm living proof.

Five years is incredible, man. Seriously. I can't even imagine the work that took and what you had to overcome. Your kids knowing their dad sober is everything. Congratulations on choosing yourself and your family.
