From corporate burnout to freelance dad - year 1 reflection
Left my job 12 months ago making 180k a year because I was barely seeing my kids. Took the leap into freelance consulting. Income is probably 40% of what it was but my calendar is actually mine now. I coach my son's little league team, I'm home for school pickups, and I don't have that knot in my stomach anymore. Financially it's tight some months but I gained my life back. Worth every penny I lost.
This is the dream, man. How are you managing income-wise? That's always the thing that scares me about making that jump.
