From corporate burnout to stay at home dad, one year in
Left my six figure job last year to be the primary parent while my wife focused on her career. Biggest change? I actually know my kids now. I know what they're scared of, what makes them laugh, what they need. For years I was just the guy who showed up at dinner exhausted and checked out. Now I'm missing some of that identity I had in the corporate world, that sense of ambition and status, but what I'm gaining is real. My six year old asked me to come to her school thing last week and I was actually there. That's worth more than any bonus ever was.
That's incredible honestly. Leaving six figures takes guts. How are you handling the financial hit? We've talked about something similar but the math never works out for us.
