Left my marketing job when my second kid was born and honestly it's been the weirdest identity shift. For 15 years I was that guy who lived for quarterly targets and networking events. Now I'm the parent at pickup who knows all the teachers names and plans snack time around nap schedules. I miss the paychecks and having coworkers who got my jokes, but watching my kids actually grow up instead of missing it all? Priceless. Don't recognize myself some days but that's not entirely a bad thing.
