From Corporate Robot to Stay-at-Home Dad - 2 Years In

I left my job as an account manager making decent money to be home with the kids full time when my second was born. Best and hardest decision ever. I miss the structure, the paychecks, and honestly the adult conversations. But I gained so much more. I know my kids actually. I'm there for the small stuff that matters. I can cook dinner instead of grabbing takeout. The crazy thing is I'm way less stressed even though we have less money. Family dinners are different now. My oldest actually talks to me about his day. That alone is worth it.

The fact that you're still doing this two years later says everything. A lot of people romanticize it but staying home is real work. Respect.

This takes guts. Seriously. A lot of dads say they want to do this but actually walking away from that paycheck is different. What made you finally pull the trigger?

Two years in and still feeling good about it? I've thought about making a similar jump but the financial security thing always wins out. How do you handle the money side of it?
