From Corporate Zombie to Actual Dad
I spent 15 years in finance making decent money but missing everything. My kids knew my voice on FaceTime better than in person. Last year I took a job that pays less but lets me be home by 5:30. Best decision ever. Yeah I miss the status and the bonus checks, but man, being at my son's soccer games and actually knowing what my kids had for lunch? That hits different. Changed everything about who I am.
This hits different. That FaceTime dad situation is real and I'm glad you made the jump. Pancake Sundays became my thing because I realized I needed those moments in person, not through a screen.
