From Couch Potato to Actually Showing Up for My Kids
Man I can't believe it's been a year since I decided to get my life together. Used to come home from work and just collapse on the couch with beer and my phone for hours. My kids would ask me to play and I'd say maybe later. Later never came. Now I'm coaching my son's soccer team and actually doing stuff on weekends instead of being a zombie. My knees hurt way more but my relationship with my kids is so much better. I miss the mindless scrolling sometimes but gaining actual memories with them is worth it.
This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. I'm in that couch potato phase and it's hard to see how it changes. Would love to hear more about what the actual first steps were for you.
