From couch potato to running marathons
5 years ago I was 280 pounds, worked a desk job, and thought my athletic days were long behind me. Started running just 2 miles because my doctor said I had to do something. Today I finished my third marathon. The crazy part isn't the running though, it's that I don't recognize who I was before. I'm more patient with my kids, I have confidence again, and I actually like myself. What I miss: staying up late watching Netflix. What I gained: literally everything else.
This is incredible. Going from 280 to marathons is no joke. How long did it take you to get to running full marathons? That's a massive transformation.
