From Night Owl Gamer to 5am Dad
I used to be that guy pulling all-nighters on weekends, living for raid nights and tournaments. Now I'm waking up at 5am without an alarm because my 2 year old is screaming for breakfast. Honestly I miss the freedom to just zone out for 8 hours straight, but there's something about being the first one awake and getting him ready for the day that hits different. I've gained patience I didn't know I had and lost like 40 pounds from chasing him around. The old me wouldn't recognize this version but I wouldn't go back.
I felt this in my soul. Still in the thick of it with a newborn and I miss those days of staying up late, but honestly I wouldn't trade the 5am wake-ups for anything. The shift happened faster than I expected.
