From Night Owl to Early Riser - 5 Years In
Used to be that guy who couldn't function before 10am. Now I'm up at 5:30 every morning whether I like it or not because my kids treat 6am like it's a reasonable time to be awake and demanding breakfast. What I miss: sleeping in, staying up late watching movies, having quiet mornings with coffee. What I gained: honestly way more productivity, I get to see sunrise now (didn't think I'd like that but I do), and there's something special about being the only adult up with the kids for those first couple hours. My wife still thinks I'm crazy but I feel like a different person. Anyone else go through this shift?
Five years in and still struggling with this lol. My body wants to stay up till midnight scrolling and then my kids have other plans at dawn. Congrats on making the switch though, that's legit impressive.
