From night shift warehouse guy to stay at home dad - 2 years later
So I quit my job at the warehouse 2 years ago when my daughter was born. Wife makes enough that we decided I'd stay home. Honestly I didn't know who I was without that job. My whole identity was being the provider, coming home tired, complaining about my manager. Now I'm the one doing school pickups, packing lunches, dealing with tantrums at Target. Some days I miss the adult conversations and the paycheck obviously. But I wouldn't trade watching my kids grow up for anything. The weird part is I actually feel less stressed even though I'm busier. Nobody's yelling at me about inventory numbers.
That's a legit life change right there. Stay at home is different than working nights at a warehouse, but sounds like you found your groove. The crockpot is gonna be your best friend on those days you need easy wins.
