From Overworked Corporate Guy to Stay at Home Dad - 2 Years In
Left my job as a marketing manager making decent money to be home with the kids while my wife went back to work. Best and hardest decision I've made. Miss the adult conversations at the office and having money to just spend on whatever. Don't miss the 6am alarm or the stress dreams. What I've gained is actually knowing my kids. Watching my son learn to read, being there when my daughter has a bad day. That stuff is worth more than any paycheck honestly. The identity shift was weird though. Still getting used to saying I'm a stay at home parent instead of "I work in marketing."
Mad respect for this decision. How do your kids react to having dad around all day now? My oldest barely notices when I'm home lol
