Going back to school with three kids at home
I dropped out of college 10 years ago to work and start a family. Always regretted it. Decided to go back part time while working full time and being a dad. It's been the hardest year of my life honestly. Barely sleeping, missing stuff with my kids, my marriage is strained. But I'm actually doing it. Getting a degree I never thought I'd finish. My oldest asked me yesterday why I was studying so hard and I told him I wanted to show him that you can change your life at any age. He said 'that's cool dad.' We'll see if it was worth it but so far it feels like it might be.
This is the kind of thing our kids will remember forever. Not just that you finished your degree but that you showed them it's never too late to chase something you want. They're learning about perseverance and self-improvement just by watching you do it.
