Going from overweight and unhealthy to actually taking care of myself
About a year and a half ago I realized my 4 year old asked me why I couldn't run with him. That hit different. Started small, just walks around the block. Now I'm down 45 pounds, hit the gym 4 times a week, and I actually enjoy it. Gained confidence, gained energy, my back doesn't hurt anymore. Lost my excuse making, lost the crutch of fast food. Lost some friends who only wanted to hang out at bars. But gained a son who wants to play tag and doesn't get winded. That's the real win.
This is real motivation right here. My kids have definitely noticed I've gotten slower over the years. Started running more consistently because of them.
