Got divorced 2 years ago - finally feel like myself again
Wanted to share this because I know a lot of guys on here are going through separation or divorce. I spent 8 years being someone I wasn't. Spent 8 years managing someone else's emotions and problems. When we split it sucked, custody battles sucked, money got tight. But man, the last 2 years have been about rediscovering who I actually am outside of being part of a couple. Started running again, picked up woodworking, spent real time with my kids without that tension in the air. I gained peace and lost a ton of anxiety. Different situation for everyone but just wanted to say it gets better.
Real talk, what was the biggest shift that made you feel like yourself again? Was it time, or did you have to actively do something about it?
