Got healthy and realized how much I was missing
I was always the 'too tired' dad. Too tired to play in the yard, too tired to take the kids hiking, too tired for anything. Couple years ago I was like 80 pounds overweight and my knees were shot. Doctor said I was heading for a heart attack. That scared me straight. Lost the weight, started working out, cut out the junk. Now at 48 I can actually keep up with my kids. We run around the park together. I taught my son how to skateboard last week. I never would have had the energy before. I don't know who I was before but I like who I'm becoming.
This is awesome to hear. I'm still in the tired phase and reading this makes me realize what I'm actually missing out on with my kids right now. Really needed to see this today.
