Got sober 18 months ago AMA

Don't even know who I was before honestly. Was drinking every night, missed my kids's events, marriage was hanging by a thread. Got into AA and a program and everything shifted. I miss absolutely nothing about that life except maybe some friends I lost. What I gained back was my family, my self respect, my mornings. My kids call me their dad again instead than just a guy in the house. Still hard some days but I'm finally becoming the man I should have been all along.
