How parenthood made me grow up

Before I became a dad at 24 I was pretty selfish honestly. Spent money on dumb stuff, didn't think about the future, kind of drifted through life. Becoming a father forced me to get serious about my career, my finances, my mental health because now it wasn't just about me. I'll be real though, I do miss being able to just do whatever I wanted without planning childcare or thinking about college funds. But the man I've had to become as a father is someone I'm actually proud of, and I wouldn't trade that growth for anything.
