I'm not the same guy I was before kids and I'm learning to be okay with that

Before: I was spontaneous, went out with friends every weekend, slept til noon, could spend $200 on dinner without thinking twice. Now: I get excited about a good night's sleep, my friends think I disappeared, I meal prep on Sundays, and the most spontaneous thing I do is decide which park to go to. I miss the freedom sometimes. But watching my 4 year old light up when I walk through the door hits different than anything I experienced before. I'm a completely different person and honestly I wouldn't go back.
