Identity Shift From 'That Guy' to Dad

Used to be known in my circle as the guy with the motorcycle, the one who was always doing something crazy or spontaneous. Got married, had kids, and that identity just evaporated. For a while I was bitter about it. Felt like I lost myself. But around year three of fatherhood I realized I found something better. I'm more patient, more grounded, more purposeful. Motorcycle got sold two years ago and I didn't even feel sad about it. Who I was becoming was more interesting than who I used to be.
