Left my corporate job to be a stay at home dad and best decision ever

Last year I walked away from a 6 figure job and honestly people thought I was crazy. My wife makes good money and my kids are 8 and 5 and they needed something more than aftercare and a tired dad. First few months were weird identity thing because I was always the guy with the job title. But being here for the school runs, helping with homework, cooking real dinners, being present has changed my entire outlook. I miss some things about work but missing afternoon pickup? Miss helping my kid learn to ride a bike? Never. Took a hit financially but my mental health is worth way more than that paycheck was.
