Lost 120 pounds and gained my life back
This is kind of personal but I need to share it. In my early 40s I was pushing 320 pounds, couldn't play catch with my sons without getting winded, had sleep apnea, the whole deal. Started working out in 2021 after my doctor basically scared me straight. It's been brutal but I'm down to 200 now and I feel like a different human. I can run around with my kids, I have energy again, I'm not ashamed of how I look. What I miss is honestly just not thinking about food and fitness constantly but it's worth it. My kids are proud of me which hits different as a dad.
Early 40s here too and yeah that weight creeps up without you realizing it. How did your kids react to the change? I feel like that stuff matters to them more than we think.
