Lost 50 pounds and weirdly miss being invisible
This is going to sound weird but I've been thinking about this a lot. Spent 15 years overweight and just kind of invisible, which sucked. But I also had zero pressure. Started hitting the gym 2 years ago, cut out junk food, actually stuck with it. Now I'm in the best shape of my life and people talk to me differently. Women at the grocery store smile at me. I get compliments. But there's this weird thing where I feel like I have to maintain it or I'll lose the version of myself people like now. Also genuinely miss just relaxing without thinking about macros and workouts. Not complaining, just processing weird feelings.
50 pounds is huge. But I think I know what you mean about the invisibility thing. There's something simpler about not standing out. Either way you did something amazing.
