Lost 60 lbs after kids were born - sounds backwards but here's why

I was out of shape before, then kids came and I just decided I didn't want to be that heavy dad anymore. Wanted to keep up with them, you know? Started running in the mornings when they were asleep, eating better because my wife was too and we were trying to set an example. Lost the weight over two years. Thing I miss most is not thinking about what I ate, just grabbing whatever. But I feel so much better and my oldest told me I'm strong now which honestly hit me harder than any gym milestone ever could. Changed my whole perspective on taking care of myself.

That's awesome man. I'm trying to get there myself, knowing I want to actually keep up with my boys instead of just watching from the sidelines. Props for making that shift.
