Lost 65 pounds since becoming a dad and honestly it's because I had to
My wake up call was my oldest asking why daddy was so tired playing tag. That hurt. I was overweight, eating garbage, never moved. Decided I had to be the dad who could actually keep up. Started running, cleaned up what I ate, gym became my thing. It took about 18 months. Now I run 5ks with my kid, we play basketball, I feel like I got my body back. Miss some of the mindless eating and the free time but the energy I have now is insane. Being present with my kids is so much easier when you're not exhausted all the time.
That moment hits different man. My kids called me out on my energy levels too and it was the push I needed. 65 pounds is massive, congrats on making the change for them and yourself.
