Lost 75 pounds but gained something I didn't expect
Started the gym grind when my daughter was born because I wanted to be around to see her graduate. The physical transformation is real, people barely recognize me. But what I wasn't ready for was how much my identity was wrapped up in being the 'funny fat guy'. Without that armor I feel kind of exposed sometimes. Still wouldn't go back though. Being able to keep up with my kids without getting winded, that's everything.
That's incredible man. 75 pounds is serious work. But I'm really curious what you mean by gaining something you didn't expect. Was it just the confidence boost or did something else change about how you show up for your daughter?
