Lost 80 pounds and don't recognize myself
Started at 285 two years ago. Doctor said I was heading for a heart attack at 38. That was the wake up call. Did keto, hit the gym 4 days a week, stopped drinking beer every night. Now I'm 205 and I literally catch my reflection sometimes and do a double take. My kids don't remember the old me which is weird. What I miss most? Honestly the convenience of not thinking about any of it. What I gained? A future I guess.
The wake up call at 38 is scary but also a gift. Sounds like you actually listened to your doctor instead of pushing it off like most of us do. How'd you stick with it for two years?
