Lost 80 pounds since becoming a dad - here's what changed
Never thought I'd be one of those guys but I'm not gonna lie, having kids made me want to actually take care of myself. Used to be a couch guy, ate like garbage, drank too much beer. Then my oldest asked me why I couldn't play tag with him at the park without getting winded. That hit different. Started running just 20 minutes a day, cut back the junk, stopped drinking so much. Took about 2 years to lose 80 pounds but now I feel like a different person. Still can't believe it when I see old pictures of myself. My knees hurt way less too. If you're thinking about getting healthier, having kids as motivation actually works.
Dude same. Every weekend is a tournament for us and I realized I couldn't keep up with my kids if I stayed the way I was. Now I'm actually able to run around with them instead of just watching from the sidelines. Congrats on the weight loss.
